Ahead of Myself

Getting ahead of myself now....I've made my mum's Mother's Day card as I thought I wouldn't have time nearer the day. Not even sure when it is to be honest!!!!

I've used the SU Manhattan Flower embossing folder again but turned it over and glittered in the spaces. Card and ribbon are also SU, the card being the no-longer-available Taken With Teal which I'm so glad I stocked up on.

Thanks for looking,

5.00 a.m. Creation

Yes, I made these at 5.00 am this morning when I couldn't sleep. It brought back memories of crafting through the night, when I was having hospital treatment and couldn't sleep. It's actually a very peaceful time to craft, except for the police helicopter hovering around, that is!

They're both made using the SU Manhattan Flower embossing folder which as you can see I embossed 3 times, cut out and decoupaged. I then used Stickles to outline.
The card, ribbon and sentiments are mostly SU.

Thanks for looking,

From A Great Aunt

That's not to say I'm good at being an aunt, just that I now have a great Nephew! So here's  the card I made for the proud parents to welcome his arrival yesterday.

I don't know how I ever managed to make cards without those LOTV squares! They're so handy.

I decided I was quite pleased with the card I made for the LIM challenge and so I made some more.

I used Stickles instead of gems this time (I know - I'm a cheapskate!) and also added the peel off borders.

Thanks for popping by,

LIM 55

A card for the LIM 55 Challenge - Punches or Die Cuts.

The stamps were SU and Martha Stewart punch and stamp and the ribbon is  SU.

Thanks for looking,

I made a card!!!!!

Woohoo - I made a card - my first one for ages!
This is a card my mum asked me to make for my niece who is about to have her baby any day soon. Obviously she knows it's a boy!

Those LOTV squares came in handy again. The card, paper and ribbon is SU and Candi is courtesy of Craftwork Cards.

I never got round to posting these....

Well I know it's been ages and ages since I posted but I just don't have the time to make cards, never mind post them, these days! Anyway just thought I'd show you a few cards that I made in the Summer and never got round to posting and wish you all a Happy New Year at the same time.
The first few were made using LOTV squares.

The next ones are LOTV stamps coloured with Promarkers.

I've used various backing papers and Cuttlebug embossing folders. The ribbons are mainly Stampin Up, the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and lots of Craftwork cards Candi.

9 squares

While I have been looking for inspiration, I have come across several variations on the theme of using nine squares on a card. So when I found some squared backing paper in my stash I thought I'd have a go.

I then realised that this was a good way to use up some scraps of backing paper and card and set about cutting up lots of 4cms squared pieces of paper and these are what I came up with.

As you can see lots of different effects can be produced with this design and its uses can be quite versatile.

Hope you like them,
